THEN I found out Mat Kearney was coming to town so I bought those too.

down with basics

Ever since I got pregnant, my desire to create and wear elaborate/trendy outfits has died. Oh well. Since then I've found myself buying the same shirt in several different colors... and I've done it yet again. I recently bought these items from Shade and I'm excited for them to come. Call me boring but I really am just happy to be wearing simple and basic clothes these days.

Lucky for me, my family tree is loaded with artists. My twin sister Hailey painted these for me and Michael right before she left on her mission. They now hang above Banks' crib. I love how he'll totally turn his head side ways when I'm rocking him so he can look at them. Sometimes he smiles and I am sure it is because he can see his Dad smiling right back at him.

My pillows from House of Pillows came today and I couldn't be more happy with them! Elizabeth did a fabo job with the sewing, nice clean lines. Job well done. It always pays to have creative friends. 

Now stop staring and go get your own!

Banks LOVES this jumper...best baby toy purchase thus far. Today at his 6 month appointment, the Doc tried to tell me he might need to go to a specialist because he "scored" low in the personal-social category. One of the questions in said category asked if when he was on his back, does his put his feet in his mouth. I said "not yet" because he doesn't. Apparently that's not normal? In my mind Banks is no dummy. Why would he put his feet in his mouth when he can practically run? While other babies are sucking on their feet, Banks prefers to run like the rest of us. Specialist? I think not.


Don't mind the oven timer going off in this video and you'll know the best part when it happens.

facebook free

I'm happy to announce that as of last night, I am Facebook free. I've thought about deactivating  my Facebook for many months now and I finally got the courage to do it last night. Facebook is a double edged sword. I think it is a great way to stay in touch with people that you wouldn't be able to otherwise. For me, it was a time waster, and I had to get out.

It's a good thing I went to NPS today for my birthday, which happens to be tomorrow, because I scored this awesome Spiewak bubble coat for $45...originally priced at $160.
