This went on for about 15 minutes...no joke.

When we bought our house, we were lucky enough to be spared major fix ups. Minor keep ups here and there but nothing big. However, our deck is in some serious need of a face lift as you can see. I'm not sure why someone chose to stain it a burnt orange. So, we've decided to paint it and then stripe the floor boards. I can't wait for the finished product. We just got started on the painting last night and realized quickly how big a project it truly is. Stay tuned for pics of the final product which will blow your mind... I hope.

Banks had his first Birthday yesterday. 

What?

I cannot believe we've had this little oogie for a year. It's crazy to think about all that's gone done in a year. We've had so much fun with him and I don't think the fun will be stoppin any time soon. 

So bring on another year... we're totally game!

10 days well spent

I recently spent 10 days up at our family cabin in Woodland, UT. I had so much fun being with sisties and my new niece , Hero. Banks loved crawling around in his overalls aka cabinalls. Just a nice break from life is what we all needed.

We've been moved in for a little over a month now. My sofas and dining room chairs came this last week so I have finally felt like I could put the whole thing together. There is still quite a few projects to start/finish but here is what we got so far.

So there ya go. We could not be more happy with our neighbors and the area. We feel pretty lucky to have snagged this gem.

Oh how blessed we are to have Michael in our lives. 

I never doubted his ability to be a good Dad. He was raised by Parental Pros.

From day 1 as a Dad, he has rocked it. Michael has changed just as many diapers, made and given just as many bottles to Banks, and played with him for just as much time as I have. He is ALWAYS willing to lend a helping hand and I usually don't have to ask because he is already on the ground wrestling with Banks or playing the guitar for him. 

I lucked out ladies, big time. 

Banks totally prefers Michael over me and that's no secret. When Michael is home, Banks is constantly following him around, trying to crawl up his legs to get him to pick him up. He does this to me about half as much. Gospel truth. Michael is a pretty great Dad and I couldn't do it without him.

11 Months

As of yesterday, the Banker man is 11 months old! I cannot believe next month he will be 1! Crazy how this last year has just flown by. He'll be walking pretty soon so stayed tuned for that.

it's been a while

We just had internet installed in our house on Wednesday which is why I've been MIA for the last 2 weeks. We are finally all moved in minus our sofas that I am anxiously awaiting. There are so many things to do when you buy a house. So many fix this and buy this, and do this type of stuff. More than I thought. Oh well. It's all part of growing up I guess. Enjoying the summer and excited for many more fun days ahead.
