Lucky for Banks, he can still rock out in his swing.

Yes it is true.
We've bought a house in Cedar Hills and will be moving there next month. For those of you who don't know, Cedar Hills is just east of Alpine, Utah...snug up against the mountains. We are super excited and can't wait to play with it and make it our own.
I already bought two of these for my new living room. I couldn't resist, you already know how obsessed I am with them. So I think I'm going to be going with a mid century-modern look with a few eclectic touches of my own.

The last few days took a year or so off my life.
Let me explain.
Michael had a big work convention in Vegas this weekend and his work kindly offered to fly me and Banks there so we could spend the weekend with Michael.
First things first...I hate Las Vegas...really and truly. I am always baffled by people who intentionally book vacations there, I just don't get it.
I decided we should go. I figured it would be a good way to be adventurous with Banks and his perfect set up/schedule. I guess you could say I wanted to rock the boat.
Flying/traveling with a 9 month old is no small task. It is a small nightmare brought to life. After flying early in the morning and Banks refusing to take a nap once there, Michael and I were both Zombies. Thankfully Banks slept through the night and took two rock star naps the next day to make up for lost time but hanging out in a hotel room is not so much fun as I learned these last few days. It think we were all very anxious to be leaving the next day...2 days...wuss.
We made it home at 3 am this morning and we have all recovered, for the most part. Banks was a trooper and he really did a pretty great job considering the craziness. I only have myself to blame. If anything, I'm glad for this experience because I know how to avoid such experiences in the future...at least till he's a little bit older. In the end, I think Michael and I are way more excited...if that's even possible...for Paris. Now that we know how hard traveling with a baby can be, we probably won't be wishing he was there as much if we hadn't just experienced Vegas.
Rite of passage (according to most Moms).
Traveling with an infant, and living to tell the tale.

If you're a mom, soon to be a mom, or just hoping to be a mom some day...you must read this book.
I've barely begun and I cannot put it down. Besides being HILARIOUS, it is honest and full of good to know info. If you've ever wondered if eating cookie dough is really that horrible, this book is for you (lucky for you it's not bad) or if it's really necessary to wipe everything down with hand sanitizer, this book is for you. Or if you just wanna know basic info about what's a myth and what is fact, get this.
You won't be sorry.
In other news...I've made an impulse purchase.
I decided to buy Eurostar train tickets so we can spend a day in London while on our Parisian Holiday.
I couldn't resist!
