A few weeks ago my Mom resurrected this Asian salad that I hadn't had since I was a a little chillin kickin it back in NY. Our good family friend, Judy created this amazing Asian Ginger dressing.
It is LEGIT in every sense of the word.
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon sesame oil
I just throw all the ingredients in the blender and let it do its magic. Tonight, we had it over brown rice, cabbage, lettuce, shredded carrots, cilantro and some green onions. I wish I had some pot stickers to go with it but that trip to Costco didn't happen this weekend. Oh well, soooo goood!
Lovin our weekly, baby free date night thanks to little sis Rosie.
no goat folks...this was probably one of THE best burgers I've had in my life...that's saying a lot considering I've consumed at least 1 burger a week since I was 8.
Green chili pork Navajo taco
Pretty dern good as well. Unfortunately for it, it got eaten after the goat burger which was slammed with flavor so up against the burger it was a little mild tasting but deserves a second chance. My Mom went too and said the beef enchiladas were to die for.
So basically, if you live in Provo and are looking for a fun new place to eat stop into the Black Sheep Cafe and you won't be disappointed.
Last night we had our first club 440 reunion. I love all of these boys. They were all roommates the year Michael and I met each other. So fun to catch up and share a few laughs. Let's just make sure we don't wait 4 years to get together again, alright?
Sarah recently bought us these little "One Line A Day" journals that we have been writing in. I decided that with my one line I would write down a reason I love Sarah every day. Here are some of the recent entries:
I love Sarah because she packs my bag when I have to go on business trips and she always remembers things that I would have forgotten
I love Sarah because she always knows how long it has been since Banks woke-up or went to sleep.
I love Sarah because she let me get whatever I wanted at dinner.
I love Sarah because she had a delicious dinner ready for me when I got home.
I love Sarah because she supports me at work (staying late, whining about work, etc)
I love Sarah because she takes care of pretty much every aspect of our lives all of the time.
I love Sarah because she has already finished all of our taxes (Mar 2)
I love Sarah because she invited friends over and made dinner tonight. Double hostess duty.
I love Sarah because tonight she asked, "Do you want a sweet treat? Let's make funnel cakes!"... ummm yes please!
I love Sarah because she is faithful in her calling even when she doesn't love it.
I love Sarah because she gives me time to program, build RC airplanes and watch geeky Starcraft 2 tournaments.
I love Sarah because she tells me when my programming time is up and it is time for bed.
I love Sarah because of her love for good food.
I love Sarah because when I am confused or conflicted about a decision I can talk to her and it suddenly seems clear. She has the perfect balance of listening, asking questions and giving suggestions that clarify what I am confused about.
Basically Sarah is the greatest friend, wife, mom and girlfriend (still dating) ever. I love pretty much everything about her, but it helps to write things down so I can have a list.
PS: I also love her bangs even though she doesn't appreciate them.
I think this is number 4 or 5 that he's made since we've been married. He prints the pattern offline and goes about cutting the foam, gluing everything together, putting together all the electronics and away we go.
Pretty impressive I'd say.
We took it out for her maiden voyage and she flew like a dream.
